Cristiano Ronaldo is an idol for many players, including his national teammate Joao Felix. Recalling his first meeting with Ronaldo, Felix said it felt surreal, like he was playing a video game and Ronaldo was a character in it.
Felix, then 19, told Benfica’s official website: “It was strange, I had never seen Ronaldo so close in real life. When I got home, I told my best friend that it felt like I was playing career mode in a video game, Ronaldo was like an unreal character. It was a dream come true to train with him. That day, I don’t even remember what he said because his focus was all on playing, which was great.”
“Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe are the greatest players in the world. I also like Kaka and Rui Costa. They have always been my role models. I will try my best to achieve their level.”
In the recently concluded European Championship, Felix and Ronaldo played together for Portugal. However, they were eliminated after losing to France 3-5 in a penalty shootout.
