Recently, San Lorenzo chairman Moretti gave an interview to the media. During the interview, Moretti defended the club’s management.
Moretti said: “We have paid USD 4.6 million in six months, just to pay off the debts of the previous administration. When we took office last December, our players were owed four months’ wages, totaling USD 1.9 million. We have over 57 lawsuits from former players and the club, the previous administration did not pay anyone.”
“From January 2025, with the signing of several contracts and the increase of variables such as sponsors and apparel, we will achieve zero deficit. All of this is reflected in the budget that will be approved by the council on July 31st.”
