This summer, veteran Thiago Silva ended his 15-year European journey and returned to his old club Fluminense.
In Fluminense’s 1-0 away win against Cuiabá in the 22nd round of the Brasileirão last weekend, Thiago Silva made his comeback as captain, playing the full game and helping the team secure three points, ending a 10-game winless streak.
Following that, in yesterday’s league match against Palmeiras, Thiago Silva once again started and played the entire game. Ultimately, Fluminense secured a 1-0 victory thanks to Arias’ last-minute winner, earning them two consecutive wins.
Fluminense currently sits in 19th place on the Brasileirão table with 14 points. In the next round, the team will travel to face Bragantino RB.
