July 24th, the Korea Football Association announced today that they will hold a press conference on July 29th at 11:00 AM (10:00 AM) for Hong Myung-bo’s official appointment as the head coach of the Korean national team.
The Korea Football Association officially wrote: “We will hold a press conference for Coach Hong Myung-bo’s inauguration at 10:00 AM on the 29th at the Football Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul.”
On July 7th, he was officially appointed as the head coach of the Korean national football team. It is reported that Hong Myung-bo flew to Madrid on the 15th to examine Korean players in Europe and interview foreign coaching staff. The Korea Football Association also previously stated: “Hong Myung-bo plans to examine candidates in Europe and interview foreign coaches who can help understand and analyze the world’s advanced football regions.”
It is understood that Coach Hong met and interviewed candidates for tactical coaches and physical coaches for three days, and then directly examined the core Korean league players who are playing in Europe for the national team.
Korea is in Group B of the Asian Qualifiers Round of 18, and their first opponent is Palestine, with the match scheduled for 6:00 PM on September 5th.
