The report states that Aguirre’s “third coming” as Mexico’s head coach is still shrouded in uncertainty, but one thing is certain: to help Mexico return to the right track, Aguirre will rely on the help of several national team veterans, one of whom is Ochoa.

Ochoa, who turned 39 on July 13th, became a free agent after terminating his contract with Salernitana. There have been reports that Spanish and MLS side San Diego FC are among the potential destinations for him.

Ochoa made his debut for the Mexican national team in December 2005. He has since made 151 appearances for the team, recording 65 clean sheets and helping Mexico win the Gold Cup five times.
