Flamengo club president Rodolfo Landim has stated that the club’s acquisition of Portuguese second division club Leixões SC is in the final stages.
“We are in talks with Leixões. If there is further progress, we will submit it to the board for approval.”

Flamengo has discussed a study that shows that players playing in Europe are 20% more expensive than those playing in South America.
