Recently, French FA President Philippe Diallo confirmed to the media in an interview that current France manager Didier Deschamps will continue in his role and lead the team to the 2026 World Cup.
The French FA President said in the interview: “After the Euros, I gave Deschamps some time to rest, and then we met for a one-on-one conversation. First, we summed up the performance at the Euros, and then we confirmed his continued motivation and enthusiasm for coaching the team, especially understanding whether he had the drive to coach in the 2026 World Cup.”
“On this point, I received his full assurance. I also requested that he express his desire to continue leading the team to the World Cup in front of the FA Executive Committee. So, in the September friendlies, he will still be on the bench for France.”
