On July 29th, Turkish Süper Lig club Konyaspor announced the signing of former England international, Calum Chambers. Multiple British outlets later reported that Chambers found the job through the job search platform, LinkedIn.
Chambers, 32, is a center-back who started his career in Tottenham Hotspur’s youth academy. He has played for Bristol City, Swansea, Cardiff City, Queens Park Rangers, Southampton, Liverpool, Fenerbahçe, and most recently, Spanish clubs. He ended last season as a free agent. Chambers made one appearance for England in 2012, scoring against Sweden in a 2-4 friendly loss.
It is reported that Chambers, after becoming a free agent in the summer, uploaded his resume to LinkedIn. Two months later, his efforts paid off when he received an offer from Konyaspor.
