On July 30, Turkish club Göztepe officially announced that former Chinese Super League Golden Boot winner Marcao will join on loan.
The announcement said that Kocaelispor have confirmed an agreement with Al-Nassr for the loan of Marcao, the player will undergo a medical examination and negotiate personal terms with Kocaelispor.
At the age of 30, Marcao is 1.96 meters tall. This Brazilian striker joined Hebei China Fortune in 2019, joined Wuhan Three Towns in 2021, won the Chinese Super League championship in 2022, and won the league’s top scorer with 27 goals.
After leaving the Chinese Super League, Marcao joined Saudi club Al-Nassr in early 2023, and was then loaned to Wuhan Three Towns and Turkish Super League club Karagümrük.
