On July 31st, Manchester City faced Barcelona in a pre-season friendly. Starting striker Erling Haaland was substituted off after the match, and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola explained the reason afterwards.
Guardiola said: “Haaland was a little unwell, he didn’t feel too good, that’s why he didn’t play the second half.”
Also talking about the 19-year-old Cole Palmer who scored in this match, Guardiola said: “In the academy, every player can be as good as Rico Lewis and Oscar Bobb, now it’s good to have Nico (Palmer), it’s a great job done by the academy.”
