On August 2, Neymar, currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, spoke about his injury problems.
Neymar has been sidelined since last October after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee. Neymar said on social media: “After suffering this injury, there have been difficult days, sometimes I wanted to give up, it’s been a tough experience.”
“But I am a warrior, I will not stop until I get what I want. God is my strength, we will keep fighting every day.”
Neymar has only played five times for Al-Hilal since joining the club in 2023, scoring one goal and providing three assists. Neymar is nearing a return, and Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus confirmed that he is expected to be back on the field in mid-September.
