Four teams will be in action next Wednesday in the play-off stage of the AFC Champions League 2nd tier, vying for a spot in the competition.
India’s East Bengal will face Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr, while Bahrain’s Al-Ahli will play Kuwait SC in two single-leg matches for the remaining two group stage slots in the Western Region of the AFC Champions League for the new season.
The winning teams will join 30 directly qualified teams in the newly-formed AFC 2nd-tier club competition, vying for the title, while the two losing teams will continue in the AFC Challenge League group stage in the 2024/25 AFC intercontinental competition.
