August 10, The Brazilian Football Confederation announced today that all four levels of domestic football matches will hold a one-minute moment of silence before kick-off starting this Friday evening. This is to remember the victims of the plane crash that occurred in the state of São Paulo on Friday afternoon (August 9) local time.
The crash resulted in the death of 61 people, including 57 passengers and 4 crew members. There were no survivors. This is the deadliest plane crash in Brazil since 2007.
