According to the Korean media outlet Daily Sports, Chinese League One club Yanbian Longding is about to appoint Korean coach Lee Ki-hyeong as their new head coach.
Yanbian Longding fired their previous coach, Quadrado, last month due to poor performance. With the Chinese League One entering the summer break, the club can focus on selecting a new coach.
Lee Ki-hyeong, 49, retired from playing in 2010. He has coached Incheon United, Busan I’Park and Seongnam FC. After being dismissed by Seongnam FC in March this year, he has been unemployed.
Yanbian Longding has a record of 4 wins, 6 draws and 8 losses in the first 18 rounds of the Chinese League One this season, currently sitting in 14th place with 18 points. On August 18th at 7:00 PM, the team will host Shanghai Jiading Huilong at home.
