Official news, Dortmund & Germany national team striker Niclas Füllkrug has joined West Ham.
Füllkrug, 31, made 43 appearances for Dortmund last season, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists. He also played for Germany at this year’s European Championships, scoring one goal.
Reports suggest Füllkrug was expecting to see less playing time after Dortmund signed Stuttgart striker Gilassey this summer, prompting him to move. Other reports also stated that German national team manager Nagelsmann had suggested West Ham to him, among several interested clubs, to ensure playing time.
It is understood that the transfer fee for Füllkrug’s move to West Ham is €27m fixed, plus €5m in performance-related add-ons.
