LAFC announced that the club has mutually parted ways with midfielder Jose C. Hinestroza.
Hinestroza, 25, joined LAFC permanently from Montevideo Wanderers of Uruguay on Dec. 16, 2019, via Targeted Allocation Money. He made his first appearance for LAFC in the first leg of the 2020 Concacaf Champions League group stage against Leon and went on to make 54 appearances (28 starts) in MLS regular season action between 2020 and 2022, scoring one goal and registering six assists.
Hinestroza was loaned to Club Nacional of the Uruguayan Primera Division on July 18, 2022. LAFC exercised an option to buy his contract and subsequently extended his loan with Nacional in 2023. In total, Hinestroza made 34 appearances (22 starts) in all competitions, scoring one goal and adding three assists, helping Nacional win the 2022 Uruguayan Championship.
