On August 18th, the Indonesian Football Association officially confirmed that they have naturalized Marten Pes, the goalkeeper currently playing for Dallas FC in Major League Soccer. He is eligible to represent the Indonesian men’s national team in international competitions starting immediately.
Marten Pes, 26 years old, holds dual Indonesian and Dutch citizenship. He is a 192cm tall goalkeeper. His professional career began with Dutch Eredivisie side Nijmegen and he currently plays for Dallas FC in Major League Soccer, where he is the starting goalkeeper.
FIFA has now officially approved the naturalization of Marten Pes for Indonesia. This means he will be able to represent the Indonesian national team in the upcoming 18th round of World Cup qualifying matches in September and subsequent matches. On October 15th, the Chinese men’s national team will host Indonesia in Qingdao.
