On August 19, Oxford United officially announced the signing of Indonesian international Marcelino Ferdinand.
Marcelino Ferdinand is 19 years old and came from Persija Jakarta. He previously played for Belgian second division side Deinze. At the international level, Marcelino Ferdinand has represented Indonesia in 23 appearances, scoring 3 goals and contributing 1 assist. He scored two goals in this year’s Asian Cup.
Marcelino Ferdinand could become the first Indonesian player to feature in the English Championship.
