According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix has agreed to rejoin Chelsea this summer. The two clubs are currently in talks regarding the transfer.
Previously, Chelsea were close to signing another Atletico forward, Morata, but the deal fell through due to disagreements over personal terms. This also affected the deals to bring Gallagher and Alvarez to Atletico.
In this context, Chelsea and Atletico have begun discussions about bringing Felix back to Stamford Bridge. He played on loan for the Blues in the second half of the 2022/23 season, making 20 appearances and scoring 4 goals.
Romano now states that Felix is also keen to return to Chelsea this summer. Whether or not this transfer goes through will also affect Gallagher’s move to Atletico.
