Plettenberg wrote on social media: “The rumours about Schalke 04 and Ante Rebic are not true at this stage. The 30-year-old Rebic is undoubtedly an experienced top player, and he is currently a free agent.”
“But Schalke are not planning to sign any new players before the transfer window closes, unless there is a special situation, such as a player getting injured. The club is currently focused on clearing out redundant players.”
