Romanian club Rapid Bucharest has announced the sacking of manager Neil Lennon after just three months in charge.
The 53-year-old Lennon had a respectable managerial career, taking charge of his former club Celtic on two separate occasions after retiring in 2008. He led the Scottish giants to five league titles and four Scottish Cups in over 300 games.
In May, Lennon was appointed manager of Rapid Bucharest and brought in 12 new players. However, he was quickly met with the realities of the Romanian league. In his six games in charge, Rapid Bucharest recorded a dismal five draws and one defeat, accumulating just five points and languishing in 15th place in the table.
