After friendly negotiations and reaching a consensus with the player himself, Zhang Hongjiang officially joined Guangzhou Leopard Football Club. He will wear the No. 3 jersey to represent Guangzhou Leopard in the upcoming season’s China League Two.
Zhang Hongjiang, 27 years old, was born on June 13, 1997 in Panjin, Liaoning. He plays as a right-back.
Zhang Hongjiang came from the famous “star factory” of Dongbeilu Primary School in Dalian. In 2008, 11-year-old Zhang Hongjiang joined the Dalian Shide youth team, starting his dream journey. In 2013, 16-year-old Zhang Hongjiang made his professional league debut. In 2015, Zhang Hongjiang helped Dalian Transcendence successfully ascend to China League One as a key player. In 2016, Zhang Hongjiang embarked on a brief overseas journey, joining the Portuguese team Gondomar. The following year, Zhang Hongjiang returned to the domestic league and joined Meizhou Hakka. From 2017 to 2019, during his three seasons with Meizhou, Zhang Hongjiang played 82 games for the team, being an indispensable all-rounder in the backline. In particular, in the 2018 season, Zhang Hongjiang, who played 29 games, was awarded the Best Newcomer of the season for his outstanding performance.
In 2021-2022, Zhang Hongjiang spent one season each with Zibo Cuju and Zibo Qisheng respectively. In 2023, Zhang Hongjiang returned to Dalian and joined Dalian Yingbo. He made a total of 33 appearances for the team in a season and a half, and helped the team successfully ascend to China League One in the 2023 season.
