On July 6th, Burnley Football Club announced that Scott Parker has been appointed as the new head coach of the team.
Parker, 43, hung up his boots at Fulham in 2017 and returned to Tottenham to start his coaching career as the U18 manager. In February 2019, he was invited back to Fulham by his former club to coach the first team, officially entering the ranks of first-team coaches. He has also managed Bournemouth and Club Brugge, but was sacked by Brugge in March last year and has been out of work ever since.
To date, Parker has managed 92 Championship matches with a record of 48 wins, 25 draws and 19 losses.
Burnley finished the 23/24 Premier League season with a record of 5 wins, 9 draws and 24 losses, ultimately finishing second from bottom and being relegated to the Championship.
