Portuguese club Benfica have officially announced the signing of former AZ Alkmaar striker Pavlidis.
The 25-year-old Pavlidis came through the youth ranks at Bochum, before also playing for Willem II, among others. Last season he made 34 appearances for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie, scoring 29 goals and providing 4 assists, earning him the Eredivisie Golden Boot.
Pavlidis will sign a five-year contract with Benfica. According to media reports, his transfer fee is around €17 million plus €2 million in add-ons.
