According to the Kuwait Football Association, Kuwait coach Rui Bento has resigned.
Rui Bento, 52, has previously coached Viseu Academy, Barreirense, Penafiel, Boavista, Belenenses, Bangkok United and Tondela. In August 2022, Rui Bento was appointed as the Kuwait coach and successfully broke through the 36th round of the competition. The Kuwait Football Association expressed its gratitude to Rui Bento for his resignation.
Kuwait is in Group B of the 18th round, along with South Korea, Iraq, Jordan, Oman and Palestine.
