On July 9, it was officially announced that former Premier League striker Craig Bellamy, 44, had been appointed as the new manager of the Wales national team.
Bellamy was previously caretaker manager of Burnley, but has now officially left the club, signing a contract with the Welsh FA that will run until 2028.
The 44-year-old Bellamy captained Wales and made 78 appearances for the national team between 1998 and 2013.
On his appointment as Wales manager, he said: “It’s a huge honour to have the opportunity to manage my country. It’s the proudest moment of my career. I’m ready for the challenge.”
