On July 6, Turkish journalist Sabancıoğlu reported that Fenerbahçe are planning to sign Allan Saint-Maximin, who only joined Saudi Arabia less than a year ago.
Last summer, Saint-Maximin left Newcastle to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, signing a three-year contract. The club boasts a strong squad, including players like Mahrez, Firmino and Mendy, but they finished only third last season.
According to Turkish journalist Sabancıoğlu, Fenerbahçe are closely monitoring Saint-Maximin’s situation. The 27-year-old, who left Europe less than a year ago, could soon be returning to Europe to continue his career.
It is worth mentioning that Saint-Maximin played 31 games for Al-Nassr last season, all as a starter, and contributed only 4 goals and 9 assists.
It is not yet known if Saint-Maximin is interested in the move, but Fenerbahçe’s new manager, José Mourinho, may be a key factor in the transfer.
