Coutinho spent last season on loan at Al Duhail from Aston Villa, where he made 22 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists.
The 32-year-old Coutinho came through the ranks at Vasco da Gama, going on to play for Inter Milan, Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Aston Villa. Vasco da Gama are currently 13th in the Brazilian Serie A.
