Brazilian club Vasco da Gama officially announced that veteran Teixeira has officially returned to the team, signing a year-and-a-half contract.
The 34-year-old Teixeira started his career at Vasco da Gama and also played for Jiangsu FC in the Chinese Super League, helping the team win the 2020 Chinese Super League title. After leaving the Chinese Super League, Teixeira briefly joined Turkish club Besiktas and returned to Vasco da Gama in 2022.
At the end of last season, Teixeira’s contract with Vasco da Gama expired, making him a free agent and he has been unemployed ever since. After 7 months of rest, he decided to return to Vasco da Gama and signed a contract with the team until December 31, 2025.
