TNT: Internacional’s five-game winless streak sees manager Coudet sacked

On July 11, in the first leg of the third round of the Copa do Brasil, Internacional lost 1-2 at home to Juventude. After the match, TNT Sports reported that Internacional has decided to sack head coach Eduardo Coudet.

Internacional have been in poor form recently, having suffered four consecutive defeats in the Brasileirão. They failed to return to winning ways in the cup competition. Currently, Internacional sits in 11th place in the Brasileirão table with 19 points.

Coudet, 49, hung up his boots in 2011. He has coached Rosario Central, Tijuana, Racing Club, Celta Vigo, among others. He first coached Internacional from January to November 2020. He returned to the club as head coach in July 2023. In his second spell, he has managed the team in 62 games, with a record of 30 wins, 15 draws, and 17 losses.
