July 6 Egyptian media reported that 31-year-old international Ahmed Refaat died overnight. He suffered a heart attack during a game last March.
According to media reports, his health has been declining since he woke up from a coma following the heart attack, and he unfortunately passed away last night.
Refaat played for Future FC in the Egyptian Premier League and was part of the team that won the U20 African Cup of Nations.
