The Mail has exclusively learned that nearly 20,000 tickets are still unsold for the pre-season friendly between Manchester United and Arsenal, just four days before the game.
The match is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles this Saturday, but The Mail understands that only around 51,000 of the 70,000 tickets available have been sold so far. This is in stark contrast to the match between Liverpool and Manchester United at Lincoln Financial Field, where approximately 60,000 of the 67,594 tickets were sold. The cheapest tickets for Manchester United’s pre-season matches are priced at $126 (£97), while the most expensive ones cost $667 (£516).
Last summer, Manchester United and Arsenal met in New Jersey, drawing a crowd of 82,000 to MetLife Stadium. The match set an attendance record for the venue.
Arsenal will face Bournemouth in a friendly before their game against Manchester United. Manchester United will also play a match against Real Betis before facing Liverpool.
