July 22, according to the UK media outlet The Mirror, Manchester City are considering a £68m move for Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze.
The report claims that City are weighing up the possibility of Kevin De Bruyne leaving the club, with Al-Nassr having reportedly offered the 33-year-old a lucrative contract. As a result, the club are looking to bring in Palace’s Eze, who has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
However, if City were to pursue him, the North Londoners would be powerless to prevent the player from succumbing to the allure of the Etihad. City have long admired Eze, who has three years left on his contract with Palace and a release clause of £60m plus add-ons.
Last season, despite being hampered by injury, he was still very impressive for Palace, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
