The Mirror reports that Kevin De Bruyne, 33, has decided to stay at Manchester City for at least another year after discussions with his family.
It is understood that Al-Ittihad manager, Bruno Genesio, was confident of signing De Bruyne as the club had offered the Belgian a staggering £1m-a-week contract. However, after considering his eldest son, Mason Milian’s school transfer and discussing with his wife, Michelle, De Bruyne decided to stay for at least one more year.
De Bruyne hinted at a potential move to Saudi Arabia in a June interview with Belgian newspaper HLN: “At my age you have to be open to everything. The big money you’re talking about could be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to consider that. If I play two years there, I might earn more than I did in the previous 15.”
