According to The Athletic’s chief reporter David Ornstein, Fulham are close to reaching an agreement with Arsenal for the signing of midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.
Talks between the two clubs are centered around a fee of up to £35 million, which would constitute a club-record signing for Fulham and match Arsenal’s highest ever transfer fee received.
The deal, according to club sources, is subject to Smith Rowe passing a medical and agreeing personal terms before the proposed transfer can be completed.
Reports suggest Fulham previously had a bid of £30 million for Smith Rowe rejected by Arsenal. The player, meanwhile, is also keen on the move in search of more regular playing time.
