Newcastle have announced the signing of youngster Pivaš from Serbian SuperLiga side Partizan.
Pivaš, 19, is a central defender who can also play as a defensive midfielder. He has represented Serbia at U17 level, making seven appearances and reaching the semi-finals of the U17 European Championship in 2022.
“Mitrović is a Serbian legend, I watched him play a lot as a kid,” said Pivaš. “He is still playing well now and I want to follow in the footsteps of Premier League winners like Mitrović, Vidić and Ivanović. I hope I can do the same.”
