According to British media outlet “TeamTalk”, Manchester United are looking to sell veteran Christian Eriksen this summer to raise funds, with Ajax interested in bringing their former player back on loan, but facing significant obstacles.
The 32-year-old Eriksen joined Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer of 2022, making 72 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 3 goals and providing 13 assists. However, in the second half of the 23/24 season, Eriksen gradually became a fringe player at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have already signed Rasmus Højlund and Jonny Evans this summer, and the club is looking to further strengthen other positions, therefore actively selling surplus players, with Eriksen being one of them.
It is reported that Ajax are interested in bringing their former player back to the Eredivisie, but prefer a loan move, which clashes with Manchester United’s desire to sell and generate funds.
