July 26 – Man United recently announced their squad list for this summer’s US tour, and the team has already departed for the United States for their pre-season training. According to British media outlet The Sun, Man United will be implementing personalized training plans for their players during their US tour, which will include sleep and meal schedules.
It is understood that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s new assistant will be responsible for all player plans during Man United’s US tour to improve player performance and peak levels.
The plans include:
1. Each player will receive a schedule specifying their sleep and meal times;
2. Customized meals designed by professional chefs and a nutrition team;
3. Hydration plans for players to avoid dehydration risks, and they will be provided with individually tailored compression garments to enhance blood circulation.
4. Helping players adjust their biological clock, considering the appropriate time of day for sun exposure.
The assistant had previously stated in 2015, “We are very precise about our food. We bring our own mattresses and pillows so our athletes can sleep in the same position every night. All in all, we believe these practices bring a significant competitive advantage.”
