July 26 – According to the latest news from well-known transfer journalist Sky Sport, Premier League side Newcastle United are interested in signing 22-year-old AC Milan center-back Malick Thiaw, with the Serie A club demanding €40 million for the player.
The 22-year-old Thiaw came from the youth academy of Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf, joining AC Milan in the summer of 2022 for a transfer fee of €8.8 million. Last season, he made 30 appearances for AC Milan, starting 25 times, contributing one assist, receiving six yellow cards and one red card. The player’s current market value is €25 million.
The player is currently under contract with AC Milan until 2027. According to journalist Martin Hardy, Newcastle United’s valuation of Thiaw is only around £10 million, but they have already contacted AC Milan and the player is open to a transfer.
