Southampton have made a formal offer, but it was quickly rejected by Liverpool. The Reds are not currently looking to let the player leave, and their valuation is significantly higher than £15 million. With Carvalho having impressed in pre-season, new manager Jurgen Klopp will continue to give the player opportunities. It is expected that Carvalho will be deployed in both the left wing and number ten roles for Liverpool this season.
