On August 4th, Premier League club West Ham United officially announced the signing of 22-year-old Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United. The two parties have signed a five-year contract, with an option for a further year.
Born in October 2001, Summerville is yet to turn 23 and primarily plays on the right foot. He is capable of playing on both flanks.
Last season, Summerville appeared 49 times for Championship side Leeds United in all competitions, contributing 21 goals and 10 assists. He was the club’s top scorer, while his assist tally placed him second in the squad.
Reports suggest the initial transfer fee for Summerville was £25 million, with several performance-related clauses included. If all are met, the total transfer fee could reach £34 million.
