According to exclusive reporting from renowned French journalist Santi Aouna, Bayern Munich has now agreed to allow defender Noussair Mazraoui to join Manchester United. The transfer is currently close to completion.
Previously, The Athletic reported that Manchester United had submitted transfer bids to Bayern for both Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt, but the bids were rejected for being too low. However, French journalist Santi Aouna has provided a different report.
The well-known reporter states that Mazraoui’s move to Manchester United is essentially finalized. Unless unforeseen circumstances arise, the player will fly to Manchester in the coming days and undergo a medical examination with Manchester United next Tuesday. Subsequently, he will sign a contract with Manchester United until 2029 with a 1-year extension option.
The report also mentions that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag hopes to finalize the transfer as soon as possible so that Mazraoui can be available for the Community Shield match on August 10th.
