The UK’s Daily Telegraph reports that Man United are set to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney following the injury to forward Rasmus Hojlund.
In the friendly against Arsenal, Man United lost two key players, with Amad Diallo suffering a serious left leg fracture that will keep him out for three months, and Hojlund out for six weeks. Currently, the Man United squad has only one recognized striker in new signing Noam Emeran, and the Red Devils hope to sign Toney from Brentford to bolster their attacking options. In terms of transfer fee, Man United are willing to accept a price of up to £40 million.
