Premier League club Southampton have officially announced the signing of FC Tokyo midfielder Koki Anzai.
Anzai, 21, came through the ranks at FC Tokyo, making 79 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 13 assists for the club, and becoming captain this season.
At international level, Anzai was captain of the Japan U20 national team, and has made 18 appearances for the U23 national team.
Due to work permit restrictions, Anzai will not go straight to the Premier League, and will be loaned to Goztepe in the Turkish Super Lig for the new season.
