The Daily Telegraph reports that Galatasaray winger Wilfried Zaha is keen on a return to the Premier League.
Zaha joined Galatasaray on a free transfer last summer after leaving Crystal Palace. After one season, the two parties agreed that Zaha could seek a new club this summer, with the Premier League likely to be his destination. Zaha’s high wages are a consideration for Galatasaray, who would want a loan fee of around £9 million to cover part of the player’s salary.
Crystal Palace are one of the clubs willing to pay that fee. Zaha played 42 games for Galatasaray last season, including 30 league games and 9 Champions League and Europa League appearances.
But towards the end of the season, Zaha was no longer a starter under manager Okan Buruk. Zaha is highly regarded by Palace chairman Steve Parish and director of football Dougie Freedman, having been a star player for the Eagles before his departure, and holds the club record for consecutive seasons in the top flight, a record that currently stands at 12 seasons.
