Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness appeared on a recent episode of the podcast Inside Track, where he argued that Victor Osimhen would have a bright future at Chelsea and could even challenge Erling Haaland for the Premier League Golden Boot.
Wyness said: “I think if Osimhen joins Chelsea, he’ll be challenging Haaland for the Golden Boot, which is good for the Premier League and even better for Chelsea. Osimhen will score at least 20 goals a season and that will help Chelsea return to the top four. If Chelsea’s hierarchy make that decision, it would be the right one. The money will not be wasted. Osimhen’s arrival would also inspire the likes of Mudryk to improve.”
Chelsea are currently in the lead in the race to sign Osimhen. They are hoping to send Romelu Lukaku to Napoli and add cash to the deal, but Tottenham and Manchester United are also interested in the Napoli striker.
