Bournemouth have agreed to sell striker Dominic Solanke to Tottenham for a club-record fee, according to renowned journalist David Ornstein, and the transfer is expected to be completed soon.
The 26-year-old England international is understood to be keen on a move to Spurs this summer, having already agreed personal terms with the North London club.
Bournemouth have now given the green light for Solanke’s departure, though Tottenham may need to pay a £65m release clause to secure his signature, which would break Bournemouth’s record sale of a player.
Solanke scored 19 goals in the Premier League for Bournemouth last season, finishing joint-fourth in the scoring charts alongside Phil Foden and Ollie Watkins. Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is keen to sign a recognised centre-forward to fill the void left by Harry Kane’s departure.
Liverpool, Solanke’s former club, would be entitled to 20% of the transfer fee should the move go through.
