Phil Foden rounded off his pre-season break by landing a big fish on a £14-a-day lake in Oxfordshire. The Manchester City star showed off his fishing prowess during a five-day family trip.
Foden has been a keen angler for a long time, also enjoying fishing on a family holiday in June. He was recently spotted with his father catching a number of fish at a lake in Oxfordshire.
Foden has yet to rejoin training with Manchester City after playing in England’s Euro 2024 final, while his City team-mates have been preparing for the new season in the USA.
With the Premier League season set to return, Foden is enjoying the remainder of his summer break on a fishing lake in Oxfordshire. A series of photos posted on social media showed Foden and his father landing catfish, carp, tench, pike and perch on a lake in the small town of Whitney.
Foden is scheduled to return to training on Monday. He has previously revealed that most other players in the Manchester City dressing room are not keen on fishing.
