August 7 – In the early hours of today, Manchester United’s new signing Joro posted on social media, “Not the start I wanted, but this is football. Surgery was a success, thank you for all the messages of support. Now it’s time for patience and recovery. I’ll be back stronger than ever when I see you again!”
After joining Manchester United for a massive €62 million transfer fee, Joro suffered an injury during the pre-season friendly against Arsenal. He underwent surgery on his leg and is expected to be out for up to three months, missing several rounds of the Premier League in the new season.
Many people, including teammate Hojlund and journalist Romano, commented on Joro’s social media post, offering him encouragement and support. He himself quoted a passage from the Bible, “You do not now understand what I am doing, but you will understand later!”
