According to renowned journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic, Manchester United have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the transfer of De Ligt, with a fixed transfer fee of €45 million plus €5 million in add-ons, while De Ligt will sign a 5+1 contract.
The report states that in addition to the De Ligt transfer, Bayern have also reached an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Mazraoui, for a transfer fee of €15 million + €5 million add-ons.
Both De Ligt and Mazraoui had previously worked closely with Erik ten Hag at Ajax, even reaching the Champions League semi-finals.
De Ligt will fill the void at centre-back after the serious injury of Varane, while Mazraoui will directly replace the departing right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
